Another Story of Sorrow

So recently, thanks to Mattin anyway, I’ve been addicted to Call of Duty 4 multiplayer. So I recently renewed my Xbox Live subscription using a prepaid card. The problem with that was for some reason the card gave me two years of Xbox live. Then I started having issues. When I’m playing COD, I noticed that all the textures randomly seemed to fade out resulting in massive black dots on the 3D plane. I thought that was odd, so I tried a few things, even installing the game, to try to get it fixed. No dice. Then I flip the TV-HD switch in the back to see if that would have any effect, then this happens:

I’ve had it for 14 months. At the point that I called to try to get it repaired they said no since it was so old. However, just a few days ago it was announced on Kotaku that this issue was now going to qualify for the 36 month extended deal. The moment I saw that article I basicly filed for repairs, printed the label and ran out the door with my Xbox to ship it off and sent it away all within the span of a few hours.

I’m sure I have other things to talk about here, but for now this is about the only thing I’m comfortable with talking about at the moment.

  1. Good on you. I hope you took the hard drive off, though. xD

And I’d love to take you on in CoD4. CoD5 just feels like CoD4 in WW2. Which is basically what it is.

Wait ’til Modern Warfare 2 comes out. I will be gone for six months.
